Ezra hurried towards the CDC.
JD had sounded slightly panicked on the phone and asked that he hurry over as quickly as possible.
Millions of scenarios ran through his mind and could only wonder why JD was calling him to come over and not Buck.
He paused out side of the condo and knocked on the door. "JD?"
The door slowly opened and he walked inside, eyes scanning for any type of danger. "JD?" He tried again.
"Here," JD said softly.
Ezra spun around and saw why JD had called him. "Ah."
JD glared at him and flapped a hand in his direction. "That's all you can say to this?"
Ezra looked at the young man he considered a friend and JD didn't look too bad. Fairy blood was being awakend all over the world and no one knew who had it. There was no way to test for it. Ezra himself actually had Fairy blood.
It was just a minor power, but useful in his line of work. He could shift small parts of himself. Different coloured eyes, change the shape of his nose or eyes or even his mouth and ears and teeth. But it could only be one body part and then he'd have to shift back to his original form before shifting a new part.
But back to the current problem.
JD and his now ice, blue eyes.
"It's just blue eyes, I don't see the issue," Ezra said calmly.
"It's not just blue eyes," JD hissed at him and moved his hair back to show pointed ears. "And look!" He closed his eyes and Ezra felt wind whip around him inside the loft.
"Well, at least it wasn't wings?" Ezra pointed out reasonably.
"Ezra," JD hissed at him again and then the anger slumped out of him. "I don't know what to do."
"We'll figure things out, JD," Ezra said softly and patted his friend on the shoulder.
