In Yer Fandoms Bringin' Awesome

Okay, I got Supernatural Season 1 the other night, watched the first ep again. So many questions!!! Augh!

Okay, Dean says he hasn't seen Sam in 2 years, so does this mean during the first 2 years of when Sam went to college, Dean visited Sam? Or has Sam only been in college for 2 years...? This is confuzzling me and the timeline I have established in my head. There's probably a meta of this out there somewhere, but I'm addressing this now and it confuzzles my poor brain.

'Cause when the series started, Dean was 26, so he would've been 22 when Sam was 18 and left for college.

Or we could have it that Sam left for college was 20, thus solving the 'Dean hasn't seen Sam in 2 years' thingie. And Dean would've been 24. But I think my first point makes a bit more sense, 'cause Sam is all 'Dad lets you go out on your own now for hunts?'.

Also, this is in a deleted scene, but there's someone else in the Impala with Dean, when Dean heads back to Stanford! WHO IS THIS MYSTERIOUS MAN!!??!?! I haven't no clue, my mind is a blank on this. I wanna say 'John Winchester' but we all know he's 'missing' at this point in the series. Dun-dun-dun!!!
