Ok! I live! The day I had the ultrasound I went back to the hospital that night and the doctor's found that I have gallstones. So, during the stay at the hospital for most of the evening this was found out, more tests were taken and at 1am in the morn they found that my gallstones were stuck in my bile duct. A tube that goes from my gallbladder to my liver. So I was sent home, being told that I would get a call the next day for a procedure.

I got the call Weds, 10am, told to come into the hospital right away and they were gonna stick a tube down my throat and get rid of the gallstones in my bileduct. So that was done, I was sedated, woke up all groggy and stuff. Went home a couple of hours later where I was told I would have to get a referral to a surgeon and get my gallbladder removed.

So, I am still waiting for the surgeon to give me a call, this referral was sent out Dec. 22. But that is what's going on, so I'm still waiting on surgery.

This might be a very bizarre thing to say... but I'm guessing you're kinda looking forward to it - in that hopefully it'll be all better after...

Central time's like 6 or 7 hours behind England?

How does one function without a gallbladder... or is that not a question I want to ask?

*hugs*

I am looking forward to the surgery and I'm not, it's a 50-50 emotion thingy right now. XD No more gallbladder attacks will be of the good tho. I've heard ppl describe gallbladder attacks as the closest thing to labour pains. ^^;

I have no idea on the time diff from England to here, I'm sure there's some sort of converter out there. lol

It apparently regulates the grease in ones body. So, I have to take it easy on greasy foods afterwards and regulate my diet a bit better.

I can see how that would be.

labour pains? ouch!

I have to take it easy on greasy foods afterwards and regulate my diet a bit better - might not be too bad a thing - I haven't been able to face even the thought of eating fast food like things since I saw supersize me at christmas *shudders*

*hugsback*
*giggles*
