Summary: Al Giordino visits his cousin Jason in St. Louis, unaware that something stalks him in the night.

Dirk was in Monterey with the doctor lady, probably making out on the beach with the awesome diving waters there. Al Giordino, himself, was on a plane heading to St. Louis for two weeks to visit his cousin Jason.

He hadn't heard from Jason for a while now, not since he was...infected.

Al liked his younger cousin, very energetic, smart, could do about anything he set his mind to. Al missed him deeply. Jason understood him as well as Dirk did, the rest of his family thought he was a bit nuts for joining the Navy SEALS and then joining NUMA when he was done his tour of duty. Jason was the only one, besides Dirk, who understood him and why he did it.

Al sighed as the plane landed, this would be the first time he's seen Jason in five years. Jason hadn't want him to come before due to his cousin not 'having enough control and the fact that he didn't trust himself not to go munching on Al if he did loose control.'

Throwing his backpack over his shoulder, securing his hat on his head, Al stepped out of the plane.

Going through security was about as much fun as you can not have, though he got through quickly, mostly likely due to his ex-SEAL status, ‘serving his country and all that'.

If he knew his cousin and Al liked to think he knew his cousin pretty well, Jason would be a little late, plunking his bag onto a chair and settling himself into the chair next to his bag, Al slid into a boneless schlump into the char that takes years of practice and only a few can master.

"AL!!"

Al stood up suddenly and looked around the airport. He saw a young man with spiky blonde hair, a fishnet t-shirt, painted-on black leather pants and black boots.

"Jase?" Al gave a puzzled look; this was a far cry from the polo-wearing cousin he knew.

Jason quickly glomped onto Al and gave him an enthusiastic hug.

"Air...becoming a...issue...Jason." Al wheezed out as he felt his ribs creak.

Grinning sheepishly Jason let Al go, "Sorry about that cuz."

"Interesting new look there Jase." Picking up his bag, tossed an arm around Jason; they started to walk to the exit.

"Yeah, well new life, new lifestyle, new city, new look."

"True enough cuz, true enough. So, where am I parking my sorry ass?"

"You'll be staying with me at The Circus."

"The Circus?"

"Yeah, place of creepy crawlies and ghoulies, were's and vamp's. It's where I'm staying and I got permission from the owner for you stay with me for the couple of weeks you're here."

"Cool."

Loading his stuff into the nice looking car, Jason and Al, were on their way to The Circus of the Damned.

“The owner wants to meet you right away Al.”

“Um, okay, why?”

“He’s kinda not human and my owner.” Jason quickly said.

“WHAT? Owner? Makes is sound like you’re in some sort of slave-bond ownership.” Al squeaked out.

“Sorta, see, he’s a vampire and he can call an animal, which is a wolf…which is me.”

Al sighed loudly, “You always knew how to get into interesting situations. Fine, I’ll meet him; don’t look him in the eyes, right.”

“Right. And he’s French, and he looks very 17th century with poofy shirts.”

“Anything else I should be aware of?”

Jason winced slightly, “I’m also his pomme-de-sang?”

Trying to recall his French Al sat deep in thought, “Pomme-de-Sang… Pomme-de-Sang… Pomme-de-Sang. YOU’RE HIS FOOD?"

Jason jerked the wheel, ‘causing the car to swerve slightly in the road when Al’s loud voice assaulted his sensitive ears. “Um, yes.”

“Jeeze-Louise Jase, what have you gotten your self into now?”

“I have his protection. I’m pretty low in the wolf food chain here Al, being his food gives me protection. And it’s not that bad, he rolls my mind and I get happy orgasmic-feelings when he feeds from me.”

“I don’t need to hear this; I don’t need to hear this. It’s like finding out your little brother is having sex.”

“Oh, I have sex, very regularly. Is this a bad time to mention I make my living as a stripper?”

Al made a face, “Gahhh, my brain just broke. You are responsible for breaking my brain here Jase!”

Jason flashed a cheesy grin at Al, “Always glad to be of help there cuz.”

Pulling the car into The Circus parking lot, Jason quickly led Al into the building through a backdoor.

“I don’t get to see, how did you put it, the ‘creepy crawlies and ghoulies, were's and vamp's’?”

“Nope, gotta unload your stuff first and take you straight to see Jean-Claude.”

Jason led Al through a series of corridors, stairs and passageways, going deeper into the underground of The Circus. Opening a set of heavy wooden doors, Jason led Al inside.

Opening his arms wide open Jason grinned at Al, “Well, welcome to my pad and your home for the next two weeks. I hope you enjoy your stay!”

Taking in the dark atmosphere, the king sized bed, and some electronics, Al could only see little influence of his cousin living here.

“It’s interesting, kinda dark and gloomy.”

“I dunno, I think it’s kinda pretty. I have been living here for awhile and used to it.”

“Makes sense, plus I just got back from the desert where it was very, very sunny.” Al tossed his backpack and bag onto the bed.

“Well, now to the boss’s office. Remember to not look him in the eyes Al.” stressing his cousin’s name, Jason led Al down the passageways again to a set of doors that seemed to ooze importance and power. Knocking on the doors, Jason waited.

“Enter mon loup!”

Jason seemed to tense slightly at this endearment and led Al inside.

Jason bowed, “Jean-Claude, may I present my cousin Al Giodrino.”

Al gaped slightly as he watched his cousin crawl forward and saw the vampire rake his fingers through Jason’s hair.

“Bonjour Monsieur Giodrino. Welcome to The Circus of the Damned!”

Al tore his eyes off his cousin and gazed at the 17th century style clothing, the long dark locks that seemed to frame the shoulders; Al remembered to not look in the eyes and could only come up with his standard response to any situation he felt uncomfortable with.

“Hi. How are you?”
