When you live in Winnipeg, one must get used to extreme temperatures, weather conditions and changes...but still...

EXTREME WINDCHILL WARNING!!
-49oC!!!! (That's -56oF for the Americans on my flist)

It's technically -34oC, but with the windchill, it's -49oC

....

I really hope my car starts...

*EDIT: Car started, made it to work safely...radio announces the windchill just hit -50oC...*headdesk*

So that's what they mean by bitterly cold. I don't think it's that cold in my freezer. I just can't contemplate that being outside, much less going out into it. Hope you get home ok. Keep warm!!

Well, my friend went to the Filipieans (sp) just recently and she's from Winnipeg. She said her family there considered the +12 to +15 weather cold and they were all bundled in sweaters and pants. Her and her family who's there from Winnipeg, we're like 'Short Weather!' lol

But yes, bitterly cold, eh, I know I complain, but you get used to it and just learn to bundle up properly. I was outside with a warm jacket, mittens and no toque, scrapping my windows clean of ice and I was fine. We winnipeggers are a harty bunch. lol

I just hope there isn't a stalled car on the road again today. Took me half an hour to get out of the parking lot and onto a main street, then the regular time it took to get home. *headdesk*
