Hand Over Heart
Date: 2011-07-21 05:12 am (UTC)Xander. Xander/Willow(Non sex relationship). If you don't know me by now.
Xander ducked the claw of the demon and swung his axe. The demon exploded before he could connect.
Sighing, he wiped demon guts off his face and eyepatch and glanced around. Willow was running up to him.
"Are you okay?" Willow asked as she waved a hand and Xander felt the goo leave his body and disappear. He tried not to shudder at her casual use of magic.
"I'm fine," Xander said, easy smile sliding onto his face. "Why the exploding, Willow Goddess? I had 'em."
Willow frowned at him. "Not from where I was standing."
Xander jiggled the axe in his hand. "See, this is a manly axe. And my axe was about to slice him in half."
"I took care of it," Willow said as she waved a hand, dismissing him. "I didn't want you to get hurt."
"People get hurt, Wills," Xander said softly and slinged an arm around her shoulder.
"But I don't want you to," Willow said, equally soft.
Xander sighed. "Then maybe you don't know me as well as you think you do." He removed his arm and walked ahead, trying to ignore the sting his heart.
