Logan didn't know what to do.
The girl he'd know since she was thirteen was changed. She was just like him now. Dangerous, well, she always had been dangerous. He chuckled in rememberance.
But now, she had fangs and claws to add to it.
She was an animal - like him.
The only thing that kept her under control was his blood and for the longest time, it had been her that kept him under control.
It was the hurt that he failed her, again, that was making antsy. Wanting to take off, somewhere like he used to. He squashed the urge.
She needed him here, not away as much as it hurt to be here.
He had to be better than what he used to be now.

Lester straightened his tie and smoothed the lines on his jacket. It was an automatic reaction to sooth his nerves, to look his best.
To impress and show nothing had made a dent in his armor.
He was the boss of this ragtag crew and he had a duty to make sure things were carried out, even if they didn't realize the extent he went to for them.
He made sure everything was done on budget. He was the one who had to hold the Prime Minister's hand when Cutter and his group managed to almost leak the secret of 'Prehistoric Creatures' running loose.
He handled it all.
No one else could.

When the feeling came, it came out of nowhere, hitting Logan with the force of one of Magneto's magnetic fields.
He certainly hadn't expected it, considering he'd been chasing Jeannie for so long. He had plenty of lovers and women he'd love with the passion of a thousand fiery suns.
But this, this was completely out of left field.
It had started small as these things usually did. Glances and smiles. Then meeting up for drinks and then expensive dinners. Rides on his motorcycle and finally a real date.
He couldn't remember the last time he'd been on a real date, but as he watched Betsy Braddock come down the stairs, he tried to remember to breath.
Holding out an arm, he smiled at her, "Milady?"
"Sir," Betsy replied with a quirk of her lips and a flip of her long purple hair.
It was the best first date Logan had been on.

Dean angrily shoved his clothes into the duffle bag. He was done. Just done.
Ignoring the screaming match from the front room. Dean didn't know what this fight was about this time. He didn't care.
He couldn't be in the middle anymore, playing peacemaker between his Dad and Sammy.
His family was tearing itself apart and selfish as he was, he wanted to leave while he still had happier memories. Double checking the bag, weapons and making sure he had everything, he easily slipped past them.
Sliding into the front seat of the Impala, he snorted. They didn't even notice him leaving. Turning the ignition on, he slid out of the motel parking lot easily.
Leaving them all behind him and towards a new life.

Xander never did return to Sunnydale. He sent emails to the others to let him know he was alive. But what he got from the replies back was, he was better off where he was.
Snorting, Xander aimed the shotgun filled with rock salt at the ghost in front of him and fired.
Better was he was, was relative.
Spooky wasn't kept right at the Hellmouth. Unfortunately, it wasn't the centre of the supernatural world as Xander found out. Vampires, demons, ghosts and everything else he could think of was out there.
So, he didn't need Sunnydale or the others that apparently didn't need him.
He was doing just fine on his own.

Methos never thought he'd feel this way again, at least not for another century. It had only been a few years since Alexa.
And with a male this time. An Immortal male.
He was flexible and Methos never really saw anything to male or female. Oh he had sixty-nine wives, what he told the Highlander brat was true, but he also had male lovers who was as close to him as any husband.
Smiling softly at Richie, Methos knew he was hooked when the younger man smiled back at him.
