sparrow015So, it's been mostly tweets the past little while, so I thought I'd give a little treat of a fic I've been working on. Something to the side of the ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
bandombigbang I've been working on which has been coming along swimmingly.
But the fic i'm working on has to do with this commsodamnskippy, which is a bandom pairing of Kevin Jonas (JONAS)/Mike Carden (The Academy Is...). It's a pairing ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
skoosiepants put together in her epic SGA/bandom crossover series and it's kinda exploded since then. lol
But yeah, a snippet of what I've cobbled together. A very h/c fic.
Glancing at the two, both looking at him with concern, Mike nearly raced up the stairs and to Kevin’s bedroom. “Kevin!”
Kevin was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking small and young.
Crouching down in front of Kevin, Mike gently lifted Kevin’s face up with his fingers and looked into his boyfriend’s eyes. “Hey you.”
Kevin gave a watery smile. “Hey.” And then he gently kissed Mike on the cheek. Little kisses all over Mike’s face before settling his forehead on Mike’s shoulder and just breathing in a steady rhythm.
Hands came up and stroked Kevin’s back in a comforting manner. “You okay? You’re not breaking up with me, are you?”
Startled, Kevin sat up, eyes wide. “NO! No I’m not breaking up with you, but after I tell you what’s going on I’m not sure you’ll still want to be with me.”
Mike brought his hands up to Kevin’s face and brought him forward kissing Kevin on the lips, deeply and fully. “Whatever you tell me, I’ll still want to be with you Kev.”
Tears prickled Kevin’s eyes before he took a deep breath and spoke. “I’m sick.”
“O-kay,” Mike said slowly. “What kind of sickness?”
Kevin mumbled something Mike couldn’t hear and moved his hands to Kevin’s shoulders. “What was that, babe? I couldn’t hear you.”
“I said I have cancer.”
Stilling, Mike knew his hands were tightening on Kevin’s shoulders but all he could hear was cancercancercancercancer.
“Mike!”
Shaking his head, Mike let go of Kevin’s shoulders. “Sorry, just, did you go to the doctor? Are they sure about this?”
“Yeah, the doctor was very sure,” Kevin said.
“What kind of cancer?”
“It’s called chronic lymphocytic leukemia,” Kevin explained. “My family is being tested for being bone marrow donors and I was hoping you would too.”
“Of course, babe! You know I will,” Mike said, kissing Kevin on the cheek and then a thought occurred to him. “How long have you known you’ve been sick?”
“Almost two weeks I’ve known I’ve had cancer,” Kevin said softly. “But I’ve been tired and sick the past couple of months and then there were bruises.”
Mike remembered the bruises from when they would worship each other with their tongues, but he just attributed it to Kevin being a bit clumsy. “Two weeks and you’re only telling me now?”
Kevin looked hurt. “I couldn’t tell you something this important over the phone. It wasn’t right.”
Any angry retort that Mike might’ve said died on his tongue as he really looked at how sad and hurt Kevin looked. He pulled Kevin into a hug. “Okay, I understand why you didn’t tell me until now.”
Sagging into the hug, Kevin soaked up all the warmth and love that Mike was giving him.

Date: 2011-03-14 05:37 am (UTC)The basic idea of Ranma 1/2 is Ranma fell into this chinese well that a girl fell in and drowned in. And whoever falls into that well will turn into a girl. By water. Cold water to turn you into the person, hot water to turn you back.
A bunny kinda attacked me about how Kevin, Joe and Nick were touring through Japan and came across these spring wells and they all fall into a random one, like for example (spring of drowned kitten, spring of drown bear, etc, etc). And they come back and try to avoid getting hit with wet water and Kevin is with Mike and wacky hijinx ensue....yeah....so, that's my idea....

Date: 2011-03-14 05:39 am (UTC)I have an evil potboiler set in NGE where Kevin's real mother died and Joe, Nick and Frankie are actually his half brothers, and they're all doing their Broadway thing when Kevin gets invited to a special boarding school on scholarship which seems to solve all their problems...~cue ominious music~

Anime is made of the win and all of it's plots should be used in recreating fic. :D Can you imagine the TAI boys as a pirate crew in One Piece? :D

Think about it! Beckett as Luffy, Butcher would be Sanji, Mike = Zoro, Sisky=Usopp and Michael Guy as Nami!
And for some reason I'm seeing the JoBros as these Mihawk like pirates, so feared no one knows what they did to get the reputation. The entire Decaydance label as one piece pirates. :D

Date: 2011-03-14 06:24 am (UTC)I have this whole weirdo plot, since I firmly believe if you replace Shinji in the NGE endgame story with any other human being with a working spine, the children would have totally gone postal on the adults inside the shell, kicked butt, taken names, then sweet-faced their way out of it. (come on: Kevin being ninja-levels of competent walking through a military facility with two guns, body armour, and a bad attitude. i'll be over here with spare buckets if you need them)

Also, I had a weird dream the other day where Nick, Joe, Mike and Brendon got kidnapped by aliens, taken through a stargate and they somehow ended up in skoosie's SGA/Bandom 'verse and then Companion!Kevin and Companion!Spencer followed to get their friends/family/loved ones back. And it ended with them giving a concert to the people there singing songs of the bands the SGA/Bandom people would be in and naming who was in whose band and then the Doctor arrived to take them home before that cascade effect happened...so yeah, weird dream. lol

Apparently he's much more interesting in the reboot, but no subs or dubs exist for it yet /o\ But yeah, just imagine him and Mike in their plugsuits, giving matching 'bitch, please' faces as they put all that military training to use :D

LOL! I love your dream. I'm trying to plug plot gaps in the Almost Six verse (damn you!) and whilst a detour to SGA would be awesome, that mgiht not be the right plug for the plot :D I need to skippy it up a bit, it's still very Kevin (and Kevin+Spencer, tbh /o\)

Date: 2011-03-14 06:51 am (UTC)I was strangely hooked on NGE - everyone else who saw it thought it was weird. But I have a thing for giant robots threatening cities, so NGE pressed all my buttons. Plus - PLUGSUITS ~drools~ Kevin would totally pilot EVA-01. Nic has 02, and shares an apartment with him. Mike flies the last of the experimental models (i can't remember how high the experimentals go - i think it's 4, to make up five experimental EVAs).
Now I'm trying to think who flies 00 an 03 - who has no emotions, and who gets their legs lopped off, in other words *g*
...dammit, I'm meant to be working on my SLB! /o\

Crossovers is my favourite form as well, I think that's why most of my stories end up being crossovers when I write.

I have started and stalled on my SLB so many times. If we include this vague NGE plot bunny, I also have:
* Almost Six - needs a climax for the plot
* This Girl, I Mean, Is Not Refined - where Mike is a girl, and on tour, and pregnant
* untitled Discovery channel thing - where, instead of being married during the hiatus, Kevin is secretly dating Mike, and so during the break he and Nic take a road trip and make these silly youtube videos busting urban legends and get picked up by the Discovery channel, and so Kevin's life is now this weird split of his attentions. I have the main plot climax for tihs one, but not much in the leadup except 'Nic and Kevin are awesome. For science!'
* part three of secret supers - wherein Mike and Kevin get stressed out by no longer being secret, and Mike reverts to his old emo grumpypants ways, and also finds out why they are superpowered.
I need more time to write for fun, dammit!
Almost Six is called Almost Six because that's what time Kevin's watch stops at on his first time travel adventure, and he keeps the watch :D

I'm all for those plot ideas, especially 1, 3 and 4! :D How do the boys get outted as superheroes? :D And what's their friends and family reactions. *insert big grin*

What's Kingdom Hearts?!?! Srsly!?!? It's like the greatest crossover game series evar! It's like Final Fantasy and Disney came together and gave birth to children! Kevin and Mike have been outed as boyfraands after Kevin basically wrote an album all about how much he loves Mike (subtle, he is not). I am torn as to whether Nick and Joe find out that kevin is a superhero or not. The scene where that happens could work fine either way. ~ponders~
rocks fall, everyone dies? lol. Basically, I need some grand adventure where Mike helps Kevin save the day and everyone else is all o.O Kevin, how do you know how to save the day (whilst Mike preens and goes 'that's my boy')
And all my stupid brain can come up with is 'you know Kevin was out and about before Gallifrey went boom - did he ever go visit?' and 'Romana! Did Kevin ever meet her? Romana would love Kevin!' so IDEK)

Grand adventure, well you could use a current alien spieces or create a new one. Maybe something is affecting the power at Warped and Kevin realizes it's an energy creature just trying to survive? But it inadvertantly gets hurt, blames everyone and Kevin and Mike try and calm it down to send it home?
Romana would love Kevin, but didn't she go to a different universe? 'cause in the books, she came back and became scary president lady.
lol, very strong in us indeed. There is not do not with us or try. ;)
It's a very fun series and lots of fun to play. I see so much crossover potential with that kind of series. Disney is part of the Heartless Army due to the Heartless obtaining Disney's contracts and now they're obligated to help the Heartless out, Kevin and Selena managed to escape with their contracts and thus have not become Heartless.
But Kevin's contract is missing a few pages and is thus 1/3 Heartless, he's trying to keep his humanity while trying to save his brothers and restore the world. Little summary of what I have in store for the world. :D
Everyone should fear the House of Mouse right now. :D

Date: 2011-03-14 07:36 am (UTC)I have this vague mental image of everyone getting pushed into the TARDIS, and then someone yelling to wait, Kevin's not here, then Kevin (and Spencer) diving through the door and slamming it shut, cutting off gunfire or a bloom of fire or something, and just laughing as he/they bound up the stairs, hug the doctor, thne start helping to fly the time machine like this is an everyday event.

And Mike is buzzed on adrenaline and finally getting why Kevin keeps doing this despite all the badness.He can feel the guys staring at him, open-mouthed, as he trots up the stairs after Kevin and smiles at the pretty redhead across the control room as Kevin hugs a skinny little guy with ancient eyes.

and to everyone else it sounds like 'grunt grunt growl' but the body language says it all.
and Kevin totally uses their flustered stunned silence to get them moving again.
I have lots of weird random scenes like that that may or may not end up getting used
...and i was thinking of River, not Amy. Doctor, you hang with too many redheads!

Date: 2011-03-14 07:57 am (UTC)You need to decide on what you want and stick wtih that, you keep giving yourself too many ideas that could go in any kind of direction. :D You know for sure Kevin is going to save the day with some help from Mike. Now decide how that's going to happen. :)
That space slave ship that kidnaps a tour is a good idea and it showcases Kevin in his element with everyone freaking out. But you also have those prompts of Kevin and Spencer on a ship saving everyone, so it's what type of your own fanon are you going to use..
