I actually went over to look at my music before typing this. XD Some days I feel like such a geek.
I love swing for lively music. I have an album by John Barrowman - Swings Cole Porter - that I like using. Also love the Dukes of Dixieland (circa 1950).
Creedence Clearwater Revival is good, especially their album 'Willy and the Poor Boys'. I mean, who doesn't want to dance crazy to Down on the Corner? (Well, probably lots of people, but we'll just ignore that little fact, eh?)
The Clancy Brothers work well for Irish folk. And I'm partial to groups like The Beach Boys and Jan and Dean.
I like putting on the Herman's Hermits when I just need something fun and lively. Songs like I'm Into Something Good and Sea Cruise. Actually, a lot of that sort of early 60s rock works well.
Eep. Kind of went on. Sorry about that! Hope it was at least helpful.
