Mike was let onto stage with a nod from Big Rob. He walked up the back ramp and stopped at the top.
There was so much space; the stage was like a giant, airy cage, with camera booms and lighting rigs instead of bars. He tried to picture it when the stadium was full, and struggled with the sheer size of the concept.
"It's pretty cool, isn't it," Kevin said, stepping up beside him, wings fluttering slowly like he was using them to keep his balance. "And this bit, and those three parts down there, they all go up."
"Aren't you afraid you'll fall?" Mike asked without thinking.
Kevin smiled and kissed his cheek. "Mike," he said patiently. "We have wings. We can fly. Falling isn't really a hazard."
