Gabe snorted. "Isn't that line a little cliche'd?"
Frankie shrugged. "Maybe, but it means something and they will come."
Gabe smiled and ruffled his hair. "Then that will be interesting, little Jonas. Want an apple juice."
"Yes, please."
Apple juice got and given, Frankie settled on the sofa in the Cobra Starship bus. As far as kidnappings went, this was pretty cool. He thought Gabe was a bit of a dork, but Ryland was pretty cool with all the accents and Vicky was pretty - for a girl.
He scrunched up his nose in concetration. He wasn't too sure what to make of Alex and Nate, except Alex made good food and Nate was teaching him a complicated drum pattern he'd been hoping to nail for months.
Sipping on his juice, he felt warm and his back itched. Actually, he was starting not to feel good. He looked up at Ryland who was currently telling him some story about Kevin and butterfly nets and he rubbed at his nose. "I don't feel good."
Ryland instantly stopped. Fake kidnapping and holding a kid hostage was one thing, but a sick kid was another. He signaled Gabe.
"What doesn't feel good, kiddo?" Ryland asked softly as he plucked the juice from Frankie's hands.
"I feel hot and my back itches," Frankie mumbled and leaned against Ryland. He was tall and kinda comfy.
"Hmm," Ryland hummed.
"What's wrong with the nino?" Gabe asked as he came over.
"His back itches and he feels warm," Ryland said worridly as he felt Frankie's forehead. Frankie was slumped against him.
Frankie tugged at his shirt. "Want it off."
Gabe and Ryland exchanged looks. "How about we take the shirt off, but we wrap you in a blanket and take you back to your family."
"'Kay," Frankie mumbled and pulled his shirt off.
Ryland had to swallow back his gasp. Frankie's back was completely red. "Gabe..."
Gabe took his own look and wondered if this was an actual sickness of Frankie finally coming into his fairy heritage. Either way, they'd have to get him back to his family quickly. "Vicky, dear, you would call the other Jonases and let them know Frankie isn't feeling well and we're calling a temporary truce to bring him back."
Vicky cast a quick glance over Frankie herself and nodded. "Of course Gabe." She went off to make the phone call.
Frankie started to cry as his back split open and his wings burst forth. They fanned in the air drying out.
"Shit!" Ryland muttered as the wings weakly battered at his chest. He manuevered himself and Frankie so Frankie was lying on his stomach. He could see Frankie's finger nails had hardened and formed into claws and a quick check saw the pointed ears as well.
"Frankie?" Gabe asked worridly.
"Still don't feel good," Frankie mumbled and yawned. And there were fangs in the kids mouth.
(poor Frankie! I feel bad about doing that to him, but Kevin, Nick and Joe were alseep when they went through their own transformation)
Re: Dinner
He would not be swayed by The Cobra.
"My brothers will come for me."
